Working Wednesday/Graphic Design

I love creating invitations and coordinating party products for my clients. I also love working with clients to provide a cohesive identity design package for their business or graphics for their social media pages. I was honored to work with the website Macaroni Kid South Charlotte. This website is all about getting around town with your kids and having fun being together. If you are looking for things to do with your kids I highly recommend finding one in your area. It's a great resource for busy parents like us who need to find fun activities for you and your kids to do together. Chances are their is one in your area so go check it out. Look Book Monday ~ Poem and Paper

Today's inspiration comes from old scraps of water color paper I had painted years ago. Instead of trashing them I decided to make wall art. I tore the paper in strips and wove them together in a basket weave pattern. I scanned the woven paper into the scanner and added the poem. 
It's a work in progress.

Lovely Finds Friday ~ Life is Balance

Today’s Lovely Find is one that I think you will want to purchase for yourself or for someone special. When I saw the Life is Balance yoga t-shirt, it just spoke to me and I knew I had found something special. I love graphic T's.  And, I am always looking for a comfy nice looking one to wear, whether to yoga class or to the playground with my boys.

Do you live an active life? Are you a runner, a gymnast or scuba diver? Well, whatever sport or activity you engage in will help make you feel good and that promotes balance in your life. I really love the philosophy behind the shop "Celebrating Activities that Balance Our Lives".

Look Book Monday ~ Flower Power

Happy Monday,

I have been hearing about these online photo editing websites lately and wanted to give one of them a try.  I've been editing photos in Photoshop since, well, forever!  So, I decide it was time to try something new. I am glad I did!  Wow, it was easy, fun and free. I feel like I cheated on Photoshop!  Seriously though, the two can not be compared in my opinion.

So which one did I pick? You may be wondering... I chose picnik.com.  I went a little over board on the effects but I wanted to see how far I could push it without making it look too cheesy!  Have you tried any of the web editing sites? Which one do you use?  I would love to hear what you think, so leave me a comment.

Lovely Finds Friday ~ Recipe from Grandma {Free Printable Recipe Card}

I don’t claim to be a cook or a baker, but when my mother-in-law comes to town it's fun to try cooking.

It's always fun to have family visit and even more exciting when they bring old family recipes. The recipes are not hard, in fact, they are down right easy.  I would love to share these recipes with you.

Working Wednesday/New From The Studio ~ Baby Shower Invitation

I love designing special invitations for my clients. It's great when they are thrilled and excited to use them for their event. Baby shower invitations are fun to design. Sweet, fresh and happy is the feeling you get when you hold a newborn baby.  I wanted to evoke that sense of happiness in my design. It's nice to revisit memories from when my oldest son (now six years old) was first born. He was just a bundle of joy! This set of invitations and cupcake toppers will be available in my shop later this month.

Today's Working Wednesday: I have been designing my 4th of July printable party collection for the shop. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays of the year. The family always gets together and has a relaxing fun weekend.  Hope you and your family have spectacular 4th of July celebration.
