Working Wednesday/Halloween Party Inspiration

Halloween may be a month away but there is no time like the present to start planning your Halloween bash. My inspiration for this party started with my printable design collection.

I came up with these original stylized shapes arranging them to look reminiscent of a candelabra and ran with the idea of a whimsical spooky theme.  I love the idea of purple, orange and black to help create the spooky mood of Halloween.

Most of the decor was taken from items I already had around my house. I used Martha Stewart's Halloween paper goods line for the hanging chandelier and spider goody bags. I deconstructed the goody bags and used the web bottoms as the base for one of my cupcake stands and gum ball holders. The cupcakes were store bought and I made the orange icing.  I hope you Enjoy my party inspiration.

Working Wednesday/Birthday Party Feature ~ Football Party

Football season is in full swing and around our house college football is a big deal. This past weekend was non-stop game coverage on at least one television in our house plus tailgating fun with the Gamecocks vs Pirates.  Go Gamecocks! So, my inspiration for M's 7th Birthday was an easy one to was football all the way. I knew I would have to go with a Gamecock color scheme because that is his favorite college team. As I was planning for the party I thought it would be fun to find sweet treats that followed the color scheme as well. The decor was re-purposed items I already had around the house and my football printable collection helped create a fun dessert table.  The cupcakes and cake were purchased at my local grocery store. For entertainment we will have a flag football game.

Happy Birthday to my little football player!
