Game On ~ Super Mario Bros. Birthday Party
I am so happy to be sharing this long over due post with you today. My son wanted a gamer party at our house for his 8th Birthday Party. I did my best to make his wish come true. We transformed our
living room into a Super Mario Bros. world, a place where he and his friends could play
the Wii and GameCube games they love.
I wanted the kids to feel like they were in a video game. I used rolls and rolls of Dollar Store wrapping paper transforming our living room into the vision I thought my son would love. The wall behind the entertainment area were covered in light blue wrapping paper for the sky and white cardboard for the clouds.
The bricks are cake boxes from Party City on sale for a dollar each. I wrapped the boxes in red wrapping paper and hand drew the lines to resemble bricks. The Bullet Bills, BoBooms and Ghost characters from the Super Mario games are recreated using these balloons.
The sweets table was fun to put together. I filled the table with all t he birthday boy's favorite sweets. I designed a complementary "Game On" party printable collection to go along with the Super Mario theme. You can find it HERE. The kids enjoyed all the sweets they could get there hands on.
I ordered these incredible cookies from Amy of Nut Free Sweets. I love how the Mario, Star, and the Mushrooms came out as well as the awesome game control cookies. The boys gave these delicious cookies a thumbs up!

The entertainment area was decked out with two flat screen TVs for the Wii and GameCube games. I covered a double credenza with green table cloth and placed the bricks around the TVs. The sofa was pushed up and parallel to the screens so the boys could be comfortable while playing their games.
The boys also played Pin The Mustache On Mario. Thanks to Pip Pip Hooray for the free printables and idea. The boys had fun with this game!

Sneak Peek ~ Game On 8th Birthday Party
It's been busy around here with the boys starting school, work and the DNC (Democratic National Convention) in town. It has been exciting and busy the last couple of weeks to say the least. My son's Birthday is next week and this year he wanted to have a small group of his best friends over to celebrate his 8th Birthday. He told me it had to be a gamer party that incorporated Super Mario Bros. Wii and GameCube games as the entertainment. I designed the invitation and party decor to go along with the theme and collected the supplies I needed to create the party. And now, I am in the thick of things preparing for the party. Stay tuned for the real party feature soon.
To be continued...

Freebie Friday~Let's Celebrate Kindness Printables
Hi all! Happy Friday! Today I am sharing my favorite quotes on KINDNESS. I keep a collection of quotes on KINDNESS and wanted to share them in a different way other then simply just retyping the quote. I love to pin (real life) different inspirational ideas and images near my desk. I came up with my campaign for kindness to share my favorite quotes with you in the form of WORD ART. My friend over on Chasing Big Dreams blog always has meaningful inspiration on KINDNESS and I wanted to spreading some kindness too.
My campaign for kindness began with my favorite quotes on kindness. I started design and came up with the WORD ART you see above. I wanted take it further so I designed some Let's Celebrate Kindness and Word Art Circles too. These are great for stickers, just print on sticker paper and pop them out with a circular paper puncher.
There are so many ways in which to spread kindness, I wanted to share it through design. My gift to you in hopes that you will be inspired to spread kindness too!
Please feel free to download this FREE PRINTABLE: http://www.scribd.com/doc/102542805
