Lovely Finds Friday~Features~Dunne with Style

I am so excited to share with you a lovely find today and a big reveal (a new look) for my client! I had the great pleasure of working with Samantha of Dunne with Style on Her new Facbook Timeline Design Set! She was one of the winners from the Big Giveaway on Libby Lane Press. I could not be happier to have been one of the contributors and find a gem of a person like Samantha of Dunne with Style!  She now has a sweet new look on her Facebook page! What do you think of her new look?

From the moment I saw her shop, I knew I had found a kindred spirit. I love her handmade style which adds a flair of elegance to any party and dessert table. Her products are beautiful and long lasting with handmade custom items such as cupcake toppers, buntings and garlands. The uniqueness of Dunne with Style’s party pretties is that they make great party favours and can be upcycled into great décor for the home.

In Samantha’s words, “I love to design and create custom party decor so with your ideas, inspiration and themes I can turn them into party pretties that will last long beyond the party. So let your next party be Dunne with Style.”

I am so glad I had the opportunity to design a new look for Samantha's Facebook page. It was a joy to collaborate with her to design something that reflects her sense of style.

Lovely Finds Friday ~ Yummy Apple Crisp!

Happy Friday! I just wanted to say, in full disclosure, that this will be my last Lovely Finds Friday post until further notice. I have enjoyed featuring some great Etsy shop owners here on my blog. It was an honor getting to know them and their businesses. What an inspiration they are! I am taking a break and will be using the time to focus on my own shop. It has become clear to me that in order to move forward, I must let something go.  I will still be posting on Working Wednesday to keep you up to date on what's happening in the studio. So, until Wednesday I want to leave you with a little bitter and a lot sweet post.

Yummy Apple Crisp is an easy and fun baking project to do with your kids. It is a bitter sweet treat but definitely yummy, too!  Please enjoy!

Lovely Finds Friday ~ I Am Having A Pinteresting Day Today!!

Happy Friday! Another week behind us and I can't believe summer is winding down. The boys will be going back to school soon and I will have more time to get things done around the house. Okay, maybe not, but I dream of an organized home/office/kitchen!

We are fortunate to have an IKEA showroom in our area. I have visited there once and what an experience it was! I would love to go back but just don't have the time. However, I have their catalog and the web to be inspired by and dream of a wonderful space for my family to live in. I used to dream of a bigger home, but now I think an organized and functional home (condo) would do just fine. If only I could live at IKEA. No, not literally, but I love their showroom and all the different spaces that would fit just right in my tiny condo.

I feel like the walls are squeezing me in to a little box. Then again, the boys have been home all summer! And, if you have boys you know they need a lot of space to roam. Oh, yes we go out to the playground, library, and children's museum to keep things fun. Working from home has advantages and disadvantages.

But I digress, it's a Pinteresting day and I have some pins to share. If you like re-purposing things, there is a site you should check out. It has the coolest ideas and DIY projects for IKEA lovers like myself. Click HERE to see all the cool ideas! I am dreaming of an organized and functional condo so here are some Pins to keep me motivated. I hope you enjoy!

Lovely Finds Friday ~ Featuring The Lovely JadeRose Boutique

Good morning friends,

It's Lovely Finds Friday!

Please welcome Betti of JadeRoseBoutique.etsy.com. She makes the most unique and beautiful crocheted flower earrings and jewelry I have ever seen. Betti said she has been making these lovely crocheted flower earrings since she was in high school. I guess they call it vintage nowadays. Ever since Betti can remember, she has been sewing, crocheting, and creating things for herself, her sisters, and even her dolls. She studied art and design for many years. Now that she is retired, she is free to make what she wants when she wants. She sews, makes jewelry, crochets and designs patterns. Often what she makes depends on what she has on hand such as beads, fabric, or material someone gives her or what she finds on sale. She said her best ideas come when she make accessories, cards, and jewelry for people she loves. Many of her crochet patterns are gifts that she made for her daughter and family.

Betti is passionate about what she creates and equally about giving back. She donates a portion of her profits to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Betti has a rare form of muscular dystrophy, so she makes sure that she does not overdo it when she is creating. She paces herself and only makes what she feels tickles her fancy.  She sews or make jewelry until she need to rest, then she crochets and designs patterns.

Follow her blog at www.JadeRoseBoutique.blogspot.com, where she post a daily inspirational quote as well as tips for living with a disability, free crochet patterns, and free instructions for various projects related to health issues.

Lovely Finds Friday ~ Life is Balance

Today’s Lovely Find is one that I think you will want to purchase for yourself or for someone special. When I saw the Life is Balance yoga t-shirt, it just spoke to me and I knew I had found something special. I love graphic T's.  And, I am always looking for a comfy nice looking one to wear, whether to yoga class or to the playground with my boys.

Do you live an active life? Are you a runner, a gymnast or scuba diver? Well, whatever sport or activity you engage in will help make you feel good and that promotes balance in your life. I really love the philosophy behind the shop "Celebrating Activities that Balance Our Lives".

Sheryl Checkman, talented graphic designer and avid sportswoman, has combined her passions to create Life is Balance, a new line of apparel. Her new apparel celebrates the balance we add to our lives through sports and activities that make us happy. I chose a yoga t-shirt from her shop to feature because yoga helps me balance my life.

Stop by her Etsy shop and see which one speaks to you.

Have a great weekend and I hope you can do something active and fun!
